Side OrdersATOMAC RULES AND REGULATIONS A.WEEKEND AND HOLIDAY MOVEMENTS The rates herein are for Monday through Friday movements, 5 AM to 7PM, on rail-controlled equipment. If a Saturday movement or one that requires delivery of a trailer in off hours the rate will be increased by one half the applicable charge. Sunday and national holiday movements will be charged at double the rate. National holidays are:
B. STOPOFF PROVISIONS Call dispatch for quotations. In line stop offs billed at $75.00 , includes ½ hour Free and must be stay with. C. FREE TIME Straight Loads: All cities will receive one hours free time of driver standby. Excess time will be billed at $15 per fifteen-minute periods. D. LOADING AND UNLOADING When drivers are required to assist in loading or unloading of trailers, a charge of $60.00 per hour will be incurred, billed in fifteen-minute increments with no free time. Swampers can be arranged for cost plus $75.00 stop off. Grocery Stores-$325 for unloading plus drayage . E. RELOADS When a consignee tenders a loaded trailer back for movement to the railroad, a charge of 1/2 the outbound rate will apply. F. CONTAINER TERMINATIONS When containers and/or chassis are terminated at L.A. piers, an additional charge of $120. will be added to all other applicable charges. If chassis and containers terminate at different berths, or to LA ramps, $100. chassis termination charge will apply. A $50.00 termination for all other container yards. G. HAZARDOUS MATERIAL HANDLING All placarded loads will have a $100 hazardous material charge. A copy of the bill of lading and load manifest must accompany the prenote with UN numbers. H. OVERWEIGHT TRAILERS Atomac will impose a charge of $100. on all trailers ticketed for overweight caused by shippers exceeding legal weight limits for gross or axle weights. This charge will help offset court costs incurred. This charge is in addition to all tickets and fines. I. SCALING When requested to scale a trailer at a public scale, a charge of $60 including the cost of scale ticket will be assessed. Light and heavy will be $120 including scale tickets. J. FLIPPING CHARGES If carrier cannot pull a container from rail yard because of bad order equipment or mismatched chassis, we will immediately notify agent. If carrier is requested to flip the container to appropriate chassis, a $60.00 charge will be incurred, allowing one-hour free time and excess billed at driver delay rates. K. COD CHARGES COD shipments are all subject to $40. COD charge. L. RESIDENTIAL AND JOB SITES DELIVERIES Add $75 to the rate. M. TRAILERS CLEANING It is the responsibility of the consignee to tender a clean trailer back empty. If carrier has to steam clean trailer, a charge of $100.00 plus the cost of cleaning bill. N. STORAGE CHARGES All storage charges fronted by ATOMAC will be billed at $75 PER DAY FOR UP RAILAND $180.00 FOR BNSF. Please note reduced free time at many rails. Faxed authorization must be sent prior to pulling loads out. O. NON-BILLING RAMP REJECTIONS When an outbound trailer or container is not admitted to ramp due to lack of correct billing, a charge of $25 will be incurred and allow one half hour to resolve the problem from the time you are informed. After the 1/2 hour charges will be billed at $12 per fifteen minutes. If no one is available to advise or correct the billing problem, we will take unit to a secure facility for storage at a cost of $125 plus $30 per 24-hour period until billing received and entrance permitted to ramp. Fax authorization must be received by Atomac prior to redelivery to railroad.
